The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door is a special crossover between Codename: Kids Next Door and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. Cartoon Network officially announced it on February 16, 2007, although staffs confirmed it on December 8, 2006. Staffs confirmed that the crossover will on air on October 19, 2007.

The two cartoons have had previous crossovers and guest appearances, although only on the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy: in Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure, Numbuh Three is appointed as the replacement Grim Reaper, and an alternate ending of Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon features all the KND operatives. A satiric reference can be overheard in the episode Sickly Sweet, where a voice from a television gives the command "Numbuh 3! Clean up all of Numbuh 2's mess before Numbuh 1 gets back!" In Billy and Mandy vs. the Martians, when Billy, Mandy, and Irwin enter the martians' base, Billy says "HEY, this isn't Codename: Kids Next Door!" In the episode Super Zeroes, Grim is seen watching Kids Next Door on TV.

The plot includes Billy being rescued from his dad's "lucky pants", and attempts to use Grim's scythe to cut himself loose. It has also been said that Mandy will take over the Kids Next Door for her own purposes, and she redecorates the Moonbase and takes over all 2 X 4 Technology! Then, the Delightful Children From Down The Lane form into the Delightful Reaper and make any child delightful! Billy becomes the main body of the Delightful Reaper, and now it's up to Nigel Uno and the Grim Reaper to save the day! Can Numbuh One and Grim stop Mandy from conquering the Kids Next Door & the world, and also to stop the Delightful Reaper somehow?
