Pfish and Chip in: "Blammo the Clown" is the thirty-eighth short from What A Cartoon!. It is the second and last short starring Pfish and Chip.
Synopsis[]
The bomb squad, Pfish and Chip, face yet another bomber, this time the nefarious Blammo the Clown. It isn’t easy when they have to watch and protect the chief’s teddy bear whilst trying to stop the clown.
Plot[]
Pfish and Chip are looking for an apparent bomb in the sewers. The two find a small pink polka-dotted present assigined to them, which once opened, reveals both the bomb and who planted it, Blammo the Clown. Chip accidently sends off the bomb's horse trigger thanks to an actual horse, causing it to explode. The Chief, annoyed at their blunder, tells the two that he's taking his mother to the circus and warns them to keep Teddy safe while he's gone. Giving them wanted posters for Blammo, the clown himself appears and draws on one of Pfish's posters, making him believe that he's found the wrong guy. After doing some tricks, he inflates Chip like a balloon and hits him with an explosive pie as he escapes into the Chief's office.
The two break in to find Teddy missing and a huge jack-in-the-box falls from the ceiling. In trying to catch Blammo, Chip gets blown up twice, once by another pie and another time by a purple bomb. Blammo sets up a magic show while Pfish is distracted and does the show by shoving Chip in a box, putting a bomb inside and then stabbing it with a bunch of swords, before two elephants come out of nowhere and crush the box, leaving Chip to exit the box blown up and flattened.
Pfish finds two clown cars and the two use them to chase after Blammo. A truck (along with the same elephants from before) comes by and crushes Chip. Pfish is convinced by Blammo to drive to New Mexico and Chip calls the two to learn where they are. After telling them to "come back here", he is ran over by a train driven by Blammo. Pfish returns with a sombrero and a cactus for Chip. Driving into the bathroom, Chip tells Pfish to get DZ, who comes in and gives Pfish some coffee before going to find Blammo. Time passes and Pfish and Chip head into the bathroom to try and find Blammo themselves. Chip opens two bathroom stalls, believing Blammo is inside and gets explosive pies to the face. Pfish opens a stall and finds DZ, who is sitting on the toilet, reading a newspaper. As they leave, DZ returns to tell them he has Blammo and has also found Teddy, who is pretty much destroyed. Having an idea, Pfish whispers it to Blammo.
When the Chief returns, they give him Blammo disguised as Teddy. They enter his office and begin chasing him on a train, along with Blammo and the two elephants from before. They drive off to New Mexico as the short ends.
