Kuki Sanban (codenamed Numbuh 3) is the youngest and only Asian member of Sector V from the Cartoon Network Studios show, Codename: Kids Next Door. She has a happy-go-lucky mindset, and she is kind and attractive. She has a younger sister named Mushi, and two hapless parents. Mushi Sanban is a recurring villain in the show. She does not appear in all of the episodes, disappearing from at least seven or eight shorts. She is designed taller and more humanoid in the computer game universe Fusionfall. Several boys have a crush on her, but she only accepted Ace "The Kid" and Wally.

She is similar to both Bubbles and Buttercup from The Powerpuff Girls, as she loves toys and is very happy like Bubbles, and always wears green like Buttercup.

Personality/AppearanceEdit

Numbuh 3, who is known as Kuki Sanban, is the most childish member of Sector V. Despite her looks, she is known for having plans to take over the whole world in Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure, whether she tried the job because it was to help her take control of the Rainbow Monkeys Association, or Boogeyman hypnotized her mind to take the job. She is the biggest fanatic who brings the joy of Rainbow Monkeys, which are rivaled by Sassycats. She is the Diversionary Tastics' expert of Sector V, runs the hospital room as a nurse, and is the Hamsters' caretaker. Numbuh 3 makes a brief cameo in Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure as Grim's replacement. Judge Roy Spleen called her "girlfriend". She appears to have thin legs, however, it is revealed unspoken that the black thing on her foot are actually stockings because we see a closer look revealing that they are stockings, not very thin legs. She is also the only Sector V operative who can communicate with a firefly. This is from Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. where a firefly whispered into her ear.

Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 RelationshipEdit

It is implied whether Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 each have a giant crush on each other. Numbuh 4 is less intelligent than her.

Antagonistic SideEdit

Although Kuki is cheerful and happy-go-lucky, she also has a antagonistic side. She becomes demonic and fights Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 after turning up the temperature of the thermostat. It was cold in her house and her father didn't allow her to turn it higher. She was very cold. She turned the temperature up and became an evil fire monster. However, she could not be blamed for the entire disaster since it was her father who had froze the main {C temperature Kuki was breathing in, and soon her green sweater was ripped off and her hair was replaced with fire, also with fire in her eyes. She even & {C evenly became the antagonist of the episode! The episode became remiscent to the horror film, "The Exorcist", and Sector V had to "cool" her down.{C (CKND: "Operation: H.O.T.-S.T.U.F.F.")

{C In Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure, she used Grim's sycthe and the job of the Grim Reaper to take over the world, letting out her evil smile, laugh, face, and expressions, or she was mind-controlled by Boogeyman probably. Also, it is stated that she can also be so frightening and scary if anything she loves is damaged, such as the picture of the Rainbow Monkey Queen who died about 9,00,000 years ago, defeating Mr. Boss from stealing it. The film had changed 100 percent of Kuki's normal attitude & behavior, because once she was a happy-go-lucky heroine to a Reaper.

She lets out flaming anger in her eyes. (CKND: "Operation: C.L.U.E.S.") It is later revealed that in series finale, that she was never actually an airhead, so she could have faked her cheerful attitude, which was very positive (CKND: "Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S.")

Despite her antagonistic side, she is also sometimes frightened of Numbuh 4, where Numbuh 4 was such a strict leader that she became one of his slaves, such as Numbuh 5 and Numbuh 2. (CKND: "C.A.N.N.O.N.") Also, she was afraid that Numbuh 4 would die of the brussel sprout diease as he ate one during dinner, and had a rather worried face, but the only thing she could do was hope. (CKND: "Operation: S.P.R.O.U.T.")

Popular CultureEdit

• The voice actor that plays Kuki, voiced by Lauren Tom, also plays another Asian character named Amy Wong in the Matt Groening show Futurama. Amy sounds just like Kuki, so Lauren Tom uses the two characters in the same voice.
• The show Teen Titans have a very similar character called Starfire, who acts just like Numbuh 3 because Starfire also is a happy-go-lucky heroine who is in a five-superhero team. Starfire also has a evil sister named Blackfire while Kuki also has a evil sister named Mushi Sanban, who was the main villain of a few episodes. The show Teen Titans also aired on Cartoon Network.
