Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is a show created by Craig McCrackken, creator of The Powerpuff Girls. It started on August 14, 2004, and will end in early 2009. McCrackken ended the show because he was too busy working on a new Cartoon Network original series called Cartoonsuite. The show won a few awards for animation, and clear demonstration for the return of Craig McCrackken's works since the Powerpuff Girls.
The show's main character, Bloo, is an selfish, prank-loving, imaginary friend who was created by a young, smart boy named Mac. Mac promised Madame Foster, the founder of a Foster Home for Imaginary Friends, that he would visit everyday if she let Bloo stay there. So the plot is how Bloo and Mac survive in a house full of imaginary friends with many different personalities.
This show was being started, as Craig McCrackken was ready to cancel The Powerpuff Girls. Craig McCrackken had used the Powerpuff Girls in several ways for Foster's, most notably Mojo Jojo seen in the film House of Bloo's (Episode 1) as a "unimaginary friend", but we never saw Mojo Jojo's imagined copy ever again. Also, for the credits for "House of Bloo's", you can hear The Powerpuff Girls Theme while Bloo is watching in his bed.
